Good thing we made our own plans, cause the park that the Boomers were going to burned in a brush wild fire the week before the 4th. Sad news, nice park, a number of lost rigs.
We had campsites right on the river, as low as it was. Still a nice place to be. Some of us had shade and late comers like us had none. We gathered under the shade and had a nice breeze from across the river most of the time, so sitting out talking and eating wasn't bad. They had a nice pool with was shady from around 2PM on. We could use the game room to meet and play games in. We had a great weekend with friends. What better way to celebrate the 4th?
Deer were every where in the park. Usually in groups of 10 - 20. Never had my camera with me when we saw the large groups.
