June 17-19 Texas Boomers

We went to the Texas Boomers June Rally at Advanced RV Resort in Pearland, TX.  Close to home for us.  Advanced is on the south east corner of Beltway 8 Tollroad @ Hwy 288.  The big Bass Pro Shop is on the south west corner of the intersection. 

Being that near to 2 major highways, you would expect a lot of  highway traffic noise, but though you could hear it sitting outside, you did not notice the traffic unless someone called your attention to it.  It was very easy to tune it out.

Advanced is a typicial new type RV park.  Concrete.  About half the sites have some shade and the rest none at all.

The park has nice unisex shower rooms.  They are large and roomy.

There is a great rally room with big screen TV and kitchen

They have a relly nice salt water pool and hot tub.  The pool has a dark bottom and with the hot weather we have been having, the water was like bath water.  Ellen loved it like that, but I wanted to something cooler, more refreshing.

 Friday night we had finger food snacks.  Saturday morning we had a super pot luck breakfast.  Ate way too much.  Breakfast is my favorite meal.  Saturday night, pot luck dinner.  A very good friend of our, Dianne, who lives nearby the park, joined us for dinner.  It was great to get to see her.  Just do not get to see much any more. 

We had lots of wind.  Sitting outside was fine as long as you had some shade.  Without the wind, it would have been miserable.  Saw lots of friends, had a good time and ate too much great food.  Easy pull home Sunday.  Trailer unloaded and back in shop.  Ellen heading back to IL for her last turn.  Can't wait for her to be home full time.
