Great Ride

Yesterday I went on a ride with the Texas Easy Riders.  1st time with them.  Great bunch of folks.  We met at Buckey's on on Hwy. 290.  Road back roads and FM roads out to Round Top.  Sure looked different out there this time vs when I was out there in March for the road side flee market.  We had lunch at Royers Round Top Cafe.  On the expensive side, but great food.  We had rode in off and on showers going out and a lot of wet roads.  Some needed to get back, so we elected to jump on 290 and head back to Houston.  I pealed off at Hempstead and headed down FM 359 to Brookshire, then 90 to Katy and then home.

All in all, a great day.  Bike is dirty.  You know how it is running on wet roads.  Plenty of bugs splatter on windshield, lots of water spots.  Going to Walmart to buy a cleaning brush and will come home and clean up the bike.  I washed Ellen's a short time ago.  It too, was covered with bugs.  She had gone up to Sunset, TX to visit her Mother on Friday and came home yesterday while I was out playing. 

I will be glad when she is home for good, so she can play also.
