Well our fears are confirmed. Michael's Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome has come back.
An abnormal conduction pathway runs between the atria and ventricles, the electrical signal arrives at the ventricles sooner than normal. WPW syndrome is recognized by certain changes on the ECG. Many people with WPW syndrome don't have symptoms. Michael has been in the emergency room with a heart rate as high as 257. It is scary. The heart is beating so fast he has no blood pressure or very low pressure.
Often medication can improve this condition, but has not worked with Michael. Eliminating the abnormal pathway by passing energy through a catheter is needed. The Doctor will actually use 6 catheters this time. Michael has gone through this before, but the conductor has grown back together. The Doctor will be more agressive this time and is 99% sure he can burn the conductor completely through so it will be of no futher problem.
He is scheduled for the procedure on March 11. Last time, the worse part was for Michael having to lay perfectly still for 8 hours afterwards. That is so the arteries can heal enough where they enter with the catatheters that he will not bleed out. Recovery is just to lay around a few days for entry points to heal more and then resume normal activities.
We need your prayers.

Sunday - February 14
Happy Valentine's Day! Happy Birthday to Michael! We had a great weekend at the Trailer Trash Prom with the Texas Boomers. As usual, lots of great food. Saturday night was a treat as the meal was catered. Howard, the owner of Coushatte RV Ranch did the cooking. Great chicken fried steak, corn, mashed potatoes and cream gravy, and rolls. Way too good and way too much. It has been a long time since I had a chicken fried steak that good. Campgound is rustic to say the least, but owner is the eaisest guy to get along with and very helpful in every way.
34 rigs and lots of great friends. Looking forward to next outing.

Wednesday - February 3
Been too long since my last post.
We spent New Year's weekend at Rayford Crossing again this year with friends. We were disappointed with this years party. Michelle was no longer at Rayford and the party sorely lacked her touch. Band was better this year, but just no real kick to the party. Plus the cost has gotten on the high side. I think a lot of us will be looking for a different place to go next year.
We had made plans to go with the Boomers to Riesel for the 2010 Kick Off campout, but our dear friend Randy passed away in his sleep and his memorial service was on the Saturday of the campout. We needed to be with Dianne on that day more than camping. Ironically, Randy passed away while we were at the funeral of Michael's Scoutmaster. It was a rough couple of weeks loosing 2 close friends.
Our next outing will be the Trailer Trash Prom with our Boomer friends. Looking forward to a great time. I had bought a new 50 amp converter for the Avion, but was not quite ready to install it. Well, the 26 year old 30 amp converted started overcharging the batteries and ruined one. So I have now completed the change over to 50 amp service in the Avion. We are planning on adding a 2nd AC unit and will need 50 amps to run both at the same time. Also, put in a Lighting Rod electric heater into the hot water heater. Now we can heat water with gas, electric, or both. Installed a floor level 110 volt outlet in bedroom so we can put electric heater back there when real cold. Making a little headway. We have decided on our laminate flooring, so I need to measure and order.
Daytona - what can I say. Rolex 24 last weekend. Qualifying and Shootout this weekend. Then ARCA, The Duals, Truck race, Nationwide race and then - Daytona 500. Great time of year!!! I also hear there is some football game this weekend.
Later friends.
